Now you have the chance to become part of our Quality and Product Reliability team as a Welding Engineer at Emerson's Innovation Center in Mölnlycke.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that welds performed by us and our suppliers meet requirements according to drawings and standards. You will be a key person in the development and maintenance of our welding quality system and the documentation that supports it. This role is an excellent foundation for a future career at Emerson.

Your responsibilities:

  • Ensure that welding is performed according to applicable standards (EN/ISO, ASME, PED)
  • Develop and maintain procedures for quality assurance and qualification of welders
  • Create and update manuals, instructions, inspection and test plans
  • Conduct audits and verify that welding procedures are followed
  • Support development projects and customer projects with material and welding issues
  • Approve suppliers' welding procedures and conduct supplier audits
  • Maintain the ISO 3834-2 quality system
  • Participate in investments in new systems and welding equipment

Qualifications:

  • Technical education at the high school level or higher
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Welding Engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Good knowledge of relevant standards and manufacturing processes
  • Experience with TIG welding (manual, mechanized, orbital) of stainless steel
  • You need to speak Swedish and English fluently
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, Visio, Project, and AutoCAD

Meritorious:

  • Degree in materials science or metallurgy (bachelor's or master's level)
  • Certification as an International Welding Engineer (IWE) or International Welding Technologist (EWT)
  • Experience in implementing and supporting Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Experience in risk analysis, supplier assessments, and qualification of new technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as analytical ability
